Any Direction

Any Direction is a site to explore my life, thoughts, and journey. A blog where I focus on everyday life. I have been in recovery since 2019. My sober date is 6/28/2024. It has taken me five and a half years to get here today.

Sobriety is a journey. It’s been a tough one. I want to use this website to explore past and current thoughts, my progress and struggles, and my everyday life— politics, religion, any direction I choose.

I want to present my thoughts and have open discussions regarding them. The twelfth step in Anonymous groups is all about helping. I want to use Any Direction to help anyone. I believe the steps in Anonymous groups are appropriate for anything in life. I would like to see Any Direction become a community. A place for people to come and seek help, express their frustrations, and share their experiences without judgment.

The content will be moderated. This is not a site to criticize or ridicule. Each person’s thoughts and feelings are valid. Please enjoy the content, share your thoughts and opinions, and be respectful of everyone. We will forever be evolving as we learn.

I would also like to do a travel blog exploring recovery meetings, such as Narcotics Anonymous, Celebrate Recovery, SMART, Refuge, Dharma, etc. With permission from the various groups I visit, I will post pictures and descriptions of the meetings about Anonymity.

Thank you,
Joshua DeSha
